does anybody here use the new AIM for mac??

I'm having problems with it & need help!

1. I can't put up an away message??
2. How do I delete the "near me" tab??

iLife and iWork '09

I keep seeing the information about the new iWork and iLife and I am wondering... do I need it?

In the past year, I invested in iLife and iWork '08 plus upgraded my MacBook to Leopard. I also got a new iPod touch for which I had to get the new 2.0 software. In the next year or so, both software suite and most likely Snow Leopard are coming out... Am I just getting soft on my Apple "hardcoreness", being a poor student in a crappy economy or just tired of spending money?

I am just wondering how Apple can convince me to buy again. I see the end of my laptop in about a year *crossing fingers for it to live longer!*. Should I wait until then, granted that iLife and iWork are going to come with my new machine or should I just invest now? What do you think? Are you going to get them or not?

iPhone things: x-posted

It's been a few months now since I got my iPhone, and while for the most part it's the bomb and I wonder how I managed without, it's falling short in a couple of ways for me, and I just want to make a note of my loves and my wish list, both to remind myself what it is I'm looking for on the iTunes store, and maybe to solicit some input from peeps who also have one for other apps that might improve how iPhone works for me.
